I want to tell the truth, as I know it --without getting burnt, or burning others, in the process. All of my winged works, in one way or another, aim toward this objective.
Chickens appear often in my work. Born with wings, but rarely given the chance to fly, they represent deep, often unsatisfied longing, for that which cannot be --for paths not taken; for unrealized dreams; for unrequited love.
I have made a study of Bees over the last three years, through my painting, sculpture, and collaborative works. The purpose of this study has been to raise awareness about the many dangers currently threatening our world’s valuable pollinators.
