(In Spanish below): In a time before our time, before our sun was born and the world was created, there was only the night and the gods who dwelled in it. These were the Twilight Gods.
It was during this ethereal age when substance and matter constantly transmuted into each other, that the Gods, tired of emptiness, gathered to discuss creation. Four ages would pass each marked by the birth and death of a Sun, before the world as we know it today was formed.
Then the Great Mother, primal goddess whose nature contained the essence of masculine and feminine, sacrificed her own body to create Heaven and Earth, leaving behind the Great Tree of Life. Afterward, all Gods, big and small, took upon themselves the completion of a different task.
The most powerful God divided the sky into thirteen levels and the underworld into nine to create the houses in which they would live. Other Gods transformed into substances or elements. Among the most humble of Gods were an elderly couple who, moved by the sacrifice of the Great Mother, decided to form a creature that would pay tribute to her; they created man.
Meanwhile, some Gods assumed to set the celestial dynamics in motion, turning themselves into the Suns that would govern the cycles of life on earth. However, these actions aroused anger among the deities, causing wars that often culminated in the destruction of the ruling Sun and thus the ruin of their creations.
This timeless age marked by convulse changes and violent transformations would be known as the Eternal Night.
