About the piece: I made my VILLAGE GOSSIP as part of the Art Dolls Only Group’s quarterly dollmaking challenge. The theme was ‘Evil Women’.
When I decided on Village Gossip, I was thinking of how easily reputations can be damaged by a bunch malicious tongues (or fingertips), whether by a small community’s ‘gossip council’, or on the Internet, by a feverish mob mentality.
I wonder how many of us have at one time or another been the target of that pointed finger.
