When I was little I loved reading fairytales. In many tales, there were witches and they were always malevolent. As a child I enjoyed the stories and I never really questioned that.
As I grew up, I understood more about the sad history of the so called "Witches" and I suppose this is one of them I have been wanting to represent with this piece.
My Witch Of The Woods is a peaceful, mysterious and gentle character who lives in harmony with nature and she surely is the opposite of the witches found in fairytales.
