This piece is about how wildlife benefit from urban settings. It's suggested that crows, respected for their intelligence, voluntarily live in cities as a defense against their predators, great horned owls. With poor night vision, our artificial lights give crows an advantage against attacks from the stealthy, silent nocturnal predator. It's another example of how we human are the greatest factor in species' evolution and a reminder respect and honor that power.
