This piece was inspired by a Russian fairy tale about a Frog Princess. The beautiful princess was put under a spell by an evil sorcerer; she would remain a frog until a real prince would fall in love with her.
A prince came along who had to chose a bride by sending his arrow into the air. The woman to get this arrow would become his bride and then his wife... and they lived happily ever after.
