About the piece:
I chose to create a piece based on the idea of music and how it can be passed down from generation to generation, hence giving it "nine lives." This specific piece is inspired by a sentimental guitar that once belonged to my mother, that was then passed on to my brother and now belongs to me. The title "Cover Song" represents how an original song can be played and altered by others but still live on over time.
