This piece is inspired by the archetypal triple goddess that features three distinct aspects: the Maiden, the Mother and the Crone. Traditionally, each one echoes a specific life cycle stage and a phase of the moon.
The Maiden symbolizes youth, enthusiasm and the promise of new beginnings, represented by the waxing moon.
The Mother symbolizes ripeness, fulfillment and stability, represented by the full moon.
The Crone symbolizes wisdom, repose and endings, represented by the waning moon.
What further develops this idea, making it more interesting, inclusive and empowering, is that one does not cancel the other: we can embody all aspects - Mother, Maiden, Crone - simultaneously, at every stage of our lives.
