About the piece: In my deck of medicine cards Raven represents Magic. Raven magic is a powerful medicine that can give you the courage to enter the darkness of the void, which is the home of all that is not yet in form.
Whenever I'm feeling down or lost, I will sit and paint or draw a Raven and I feel the "magic."
The Observer has a magic cape woven into it's feathers and only in the right light can we see it, so I wanted to capture what it may look like when it's sitting in the sunlight.
