POWER IN MY HAIR by artist Andrea Bogdan
Acrylic and glitter on wood, 12” x 16” x 1.5"
Childhood narcissism... supposedly children go through a phase early in life when they think they are capable of ANYTHING. I think some people never grow out of this. I call it tweenage and adult "samsonism". And it's very, very serious. These people believe that their hair gives them superhuman power to the degree that they succumb routinely to severe episodes of blind love. Proof of my theory is born out by statistics, firstly, that more than 20 billion dollars is spent every year in the U.S. on hair care products. Also, 100% of people who fall in love will ALWAYS fall in love with somebody who's not perfect. Lastly, everybody agrees that when you're having a really good hair day, you feel like you could stop bullets. So I know I'm right. I also have pretty nice hair.
