About the piece: I've always experienced nature as a living, breathing presence, with a palpable consciousness within which I exist and am able to rest.
Even in a city, I do sense this presence, particularly at the hour when the sun is readying to set, when the very air feels alive and vibrant with spirit.
This felt doll asks the question: which one is the dreamer, which one is the dream? Is the creator of the dream the Mother Nature figure containing the person leaning against the tree trunk - or the other way around?
Something to think about, though maybe not possible to answer.
