For this show artists are working towards a theme of: "things that hold things inside."
Some of the works, like Disfairy's, will be utilitarian creations and others are exploring the more abstract side of holding things inside.
Disfairy's creatures will each hide everyday objects within them. The image above is one of her pieces, Vellina La Linda, a sweet lamb that holds a spool of thread inside. Ilaria's pieces are reminiscent of objects from the past that, besides being useful, were also fascinating and precious.

Disfairy is an Italian sculptor who now lives and works in Spain. Inspired by nature, she creates whimsical textile art creatures by sewing, painting, and working with clay. She includes vintage fabrics, embroidery, and all sorts of itty bitty embellishments and trim bringing these enchanting and very stylish characters to life.
