The Moon is associated with all things changeable and recurring: tides, cycles as they occur both in nature and in people. 'Moody' speaks to the close relationship between a woman's moods and the 'moods' of the cosmos. I placed embroidered zodiac signs around the piece, the zodiac being one of the best known symbol systems that addresses the relationship between the human psyche and the cosmic forces.
