"Lost Ghost, Sarah" was inspired by my love of ghost stories and an old soap opera, "Dark Shadows". I love the name, Sarah, and always thought of a ghost whenever I heard the name. I wanted to create a little lost spirit that has died tragically and doesn't understand where she is. Her right arm is reaching out to the viewer like she is trying to communicate and wants to find her family or ask for help. She clings to her favorite old babydoll, her only comfort while searching the earth until she finds peace. The sadness in her eyes and out reached hand are saying, "Please help me...why can't you hear or see me?" I know sometimes in life, we may feel like a ghost when we feel rejected, unloved or like we don't matter. It's like we don't exist...like we are a ghost.
