About the piece: There are so many things I love about living in California. Some of my favorite things are the weather, the diversity, and the potential for opportunities. The subject of my piece basks in the sun in a dreamlike state, pondering the good things that have come and are yet to come. Thanks to our amazing weather, she is made of rich greens surrounded by blooming poppies, our state flower. Maybe not all dreams come true, but at least you’re in a good place to dream.
