MY GREAT GRANDPARENTS HOUSE by artist Athanasia Nancy Koutsouflakis
Oil on wood, 5” x 3”
Note for this postcard:
I clearly remember our great grandfather Aristi. When I was 6 years old I sat in that courtyard and watched him care for his maimed kittens. Each one was messed up- super scarred, missing eyes, patches of fur gone, three legs, no tail, half eaten ear, but only one was normal and unharmed, yet he gave them all equal affection. I’ll never forget the love he had for all his icky sicky kitties. I admired him so much for that, and I think I inherited his love for animals.
Love you forever!
