LET WOUNDS SPEAK by artist Misael Urquico
Graphite on paper, 8.5” x 11”, framed to approx 12.5" x 15.5"
I always enjoyed dark themes and it always showed in my art. My elementary school teachers even questioned my upbringing, calling my drawings 'disturbing'. I also enjoyed using a telescope I had to gaze up at objects in the sky, like the moon and Jupiter. I was also raised as a Catholic, even though as a child I was already questioning the things I was being taught about Catholicism, which my family did not approve of.
