Morriña is a Galician word. It defines love for our land, for its green forests and its sea. It is a sharp feeling of melancholy for being away from our homeland, like a kind of call to Nature. This feeling is instilled in Galicians since we were born! So many centuries in communion with Nature have left their mark on our souls!

There is no greater sorrow than dying far from our beloved land that has been a land of emigrants and travelers. Many Galician poets wrote about this, such as Rosalía de Castro, a wonderful and feminist Galician poet (1837). So, I couldn't live without the sound of its waves, without its seagulls and its green smell ... I can feel it within me, Morriña was my Muse for this piece.
