This piece has to do with the balance and sometimes symbiotic relationship between the appearance of external beauty or calm, and the internal chaos at the core of the human animal. As animals ourselves, we are full of contradictions and this fuels how we present ourselves to the world. For some, the chaos propels us to hide our animal nature under a compensating guise of what we perceive to be external beauty, or an attempt to make everything appear to be normal and calm. In the end, we are all still animals and the chaos will persist and continue to influence our lives.
