 Two

Solo show by Canadian based artist Charlotte Sigurdson

Show opens online March 14, 2026

Duality has played a role in human culture and spirituality for thousands of years. Integral to the human experience is reconciling opposition. Good and evil, day and night, life and death; dualities are a core aspect of our existence. Since our earliest days humans have looked to these opposites to understand the world. Many of our spiritual beliefs dealing with duality emphasize the importance of both and the notion that it is through duality that we become whole.

We cannot fight against the existence of death unless we never live. We cannot have day without night and, within all of us lies good and evil. The ability to see opposing realities as part of a whole is central to many human belief systems and creates a foundation for the human experience.

'Two' explores this theme through a collection of whimsical objects created by multidisciplinary artist Charlotte Sigurdson. Through her use of symbolism, Sigurdson grapples with the concept of duality in our lives. Sigurdson uses techniques such as oil painting, soft sculpture and goldwork embroidery to create a cohesive collection of dolls and paintings. Through her use of soothing colour pallets, glittering goldwork and imaginative figures, Sigurdson invites us to sit through the discomfort of opposing realities. In Two, we can find the beauty in duality.

"things that hold things inside."

Italian artist Disfairy is working on a series of creatures that hide everyday objects within them. The image above is one of her pieces, a sweet lamb that holds a spool of thread inside. Her pieces are reminiscent of objects from the past that, besides being useful, were also fascinating and precious.

Eight Arms to Hold You

Solo show by PA based artist Nora Thompson of The Rots

Opens online May 23, 2026

About the show: Lately I’ve been wrestling with the same recurring question: what place does making gentle art have in such a difficult moment? How can I justify making it in a world saturated with outrage and despair, and doom-scrolling feeds on urgency and noise?

I’ve come to realize art doesn’t wait for things to get better. It shows up because things are hard. Rather than offering answers, I’m finding my paintings lean into tenderness, care, and presence as a valid response in a moment when those things feel fragile and necessary. My creatures offer resistance by slowing things down. They don’t attempt to explain the darkness. They don’t try to conquer it. But they will sit with you right in the middle of it.

Eight Arms to Hold You is not about escape; it’s about the quiet willingness to stay—with empathy, with thoughtfulness, and with the small comfort of just being held. I’m hoping my paintings invite viewers to pause, to breathe, and to feel held by something strange, sweet, and sincere.

June 2026

Get Your Own...!

Featured artist Kahla Lewis and friends

Opens online June 20, 2026

"Get Your Own!" celebrates the delightful chaos that happens when territorial critters meet favorite foods that are simply too good to share.  From pets hoarding the tastiest treats to wild animals caught in dramatic food heists, it explores the universal (and sometimes mischievous) desire to protect what we love most.

Artists are encouraged to play with contrasts, ranging from elegant to the absurd: tiny creatures worshipping oversized desserts, mythical beasts hoarding culinary treasures, pampered pets daydreaming of epic food fantasies, or any other pairing of mouth-watering foods with animals that covet them.  Because when a favorite food is simply too delicious to share, one really must insist that everyone else "Get Your Own!"

Loteria XII, Annual Group Show

Opens online July 18, 2026

La Lotería is a traditional Mexican game of chance, similar to bingo, that uses images on a deck of cards instead of plain numbers. There are 54 images; each has a name and an assigned number. The cards are very colorful and the imagery on them is broadly recognized in all of Mexico, other Latin American countries, as well as European nations.

The most recognized version of La Lotería is the “Don Clemente Gallo” rendition which was introduced in Mexico in 1887 by the French businessman, Don Clemente Jacques. The owners today own the registered trademark and have continued this version through 3 generations with the original artwork remaining the same.

All 54 images of the original deck will be represented in the show. Here is a link to the original Loteria set: https://loteria.elsewhere.org/Series-1-1920/

In addition, artists are creating cards from a second set of Loteria cards #55-108. These works will be small in size. Here is a link to the lesser known set, which is equally fun: https://loteria.elsewhere.org/series2-alt/
