Milka's work consists of the re-interpretation of characters, myths, and narrations of the Mexican folk imaginary. Her contemporary version of them keeps them valid in the collective memory and also generates a new aesthetic. She brings surrealism, symbolism, magical realism, artistic illustration, fantastic art, and indigenous art to the mix. Milka lives and works in her hometown of Mexico City.
