CACTUS WRENS FOR CACTUS GALLERY!! I added just a touch of color to this one because the Santa Rita Prickly Pear cactus is purple and amazing. These guys are social birds so I made this piece joyful and celebratory!
Conservation status according to audubon.org:
“Surveys suggest numbers are declining in parts of Texas. Scarce population on coastal slope of southern California may be threatened. In main southwestern range, still widespread and abundant.”
