These German silver (alpaca) earrings were formed with a hammer (hand forged) and soldered with silver.
Posts on earrings are also alpaca (german silver), 7/8” round

Created in Buenos Aires, Argentina by artisan couple Karina Firpo and Diego Cano. This duo has been creating art pieces for Cactus Gallery since 2004.
German silver when used in the creating jewelry resembles sterling silver but does not contain silver, rather it is an alloy mixture of copper, zinc and nickel. It is a hard, strong and a very durable metal combination that wears exceptionally well. My alpaca jewelry is 20 years old.
