Via Michelle: The theme of the show is urban wildlife, and in the past I likely would have painted something with biting commentary about how we humans are squeezing out the natural world. But I've been in an interesting place artistically lately, where in response to our current political malaise I'm drawn to creating art that is beautiful, to remind myself (and maybe others) of all that is still beautiful in this world.
