Cactus Gallery LA
LANA’I LION and AE’O by artist Michelle Waters
$ 350.00
Acrylic on wood, 12" x 9"
Via Michelle: This painting was inspired by my recent trip to the Lana'i Cat Sanctuary in Hawaii. The sanctuary has a dual purpose: saving feral cats (and spaying and neutering to reduce the feral cat problem) and saving endangered native island birds from cats. I’m so inspired by what they are doing that I had to paint one of their cats. I’m not sure of this kitty’s name, but the bird is an endangered Hawaiian Stilt, or Ae’o. My portion of the proceeds from the sale of this painting will be donated to the Lana'i Cat Sanctuary.
