For Mavis, the theme suggests the trials and tribulations of living with her 2 and/or 4 footed friends who are convinced that all edible treats on the farm are meant to be shared. Mavis' resident goats, alpacas, turkey, and chickens love roses, blueberries, apples, pears and melon. They help themselves to whatever suits their fancy.

Mavis Leahy is a self taught fiber/mixed media artist whose creations are a reflection of the many rich cultures of her native Los Angeles. Mavis creates mixed media, textile collage and assemblage from vintage materials and found objects.
Mavis has been creating work for Cactus Gallery since 2009.
