Also, shown are two images of the Panasonic Panapet (Model R-70) radio that inspired Kelly's painting. The Panapet is an iconic, spherical AM transistor radio released in 1970. Its space-age design features two chrome dials for tuning and volume, and it hangs on a decorative metal chain.

Kelly Thompson is a community based artist who’s work is inspired by the people and situations around her. Kelly is a true believer in “Art For The People”, making art available for all. As a feminist and artist, women's rights and socially political issues are an ongoing strong influence in her work. 

Kelly lives and works in Los Angeles and has been making art for Cactus Gallery since 2005.
