About the piece: My mom loved birds... She loved the way they soared through the skies in total freedom. She smiled when she'd see them fly as she looked through the window.
That is a memory I have of what "home" felt like while she was still with me. Now she is flying like the birds somewhere else, but her love is still here, and when I remember the good times I had with her, it takes me home.
