About the pieces: The two cards are part of one story. When I would watch my Great Aunt cooking, she would sometimes put an onion on my head if my eyes started to water when she was cutting onions. It was supposed to stop the tears. And did because it always made me laugh when she also put a slice of onion on her own head. So these paintings are inspired by “la cocinera” (the chef) and “‘la cebolla” (the onion). A sweet memory from my past.- Eden
