This series I did for the 'Over the Moon and Under the Stars' at the Cactus Gallery was based on a botanical phenomenon that only certain flowers bloom in the moonlight. Since researchers still don’t know how the flowers know when to bloom en masse, I wanted to capture and portray a woodland spirit that could be responsible for this magical event.
