Nichol was inspired to create this drawing in the style of caricaturist Al Hirschfeld who had an uncanny ability to capture a perfect likeness using a minimum number of lines.

DEAR PRUDENCE was written in India and inspired by Prudence Farrow, a sister of actress Mia Farrow, who became obsessive about meditating while practicing with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.
