About the piece: I named this Loteria card "Little Blank Slate" because kids are so easily molded and impressionable when they are young. I don't know how teachers find the time to treat each child as an individual. I feel like the teachers who can do it are the ones who are truly rising to the responsibility and privilege of working with these precious "little blank slates". I just hope that the system allows for this to happen.
