Tiffany Taylor (She couldn’t have the box so...)-

During the pivotal success of Blondie’s popularity, this beautiful doll called Tiffany Taylor briefly came out into the toy market. To us she was a Blondie Doll with her platinum blonde hair, some black underneath, and her “Solid Gold” looking clothes.

Elizabeth (my best friend/neighbor) and I were obsessed with “Blondie” she was a goddess to us, so naturally we wanted that doll badly! Just before the holidays we both made a fuss that we had to have her. We were nervous and anxious! We wanted the possession of the goddess remade into a tall 18” doll, where you could turn her scalp and change her hair from black to blonde/black, and convert her disco dress into a golden bathing suit. She was all we could think about. I don’t think there was a toy we ever wanted more than Tiffany Taylor.

When the big day came to open the gifts from under the tree, I was able to rejoice in utter Blondie happiness, but unfortunately Elizabeth came over broken hearted. We would never be able to have two Blondie dolls to dance/sing together. She was so upset that she took my Tiffany Taylor box. It was instantly decided that she was going to keep it as the doll she could never have, and sleep with it every night. It was a bitter/sweet Xmas that we would never forget. She became the forever deprived child for not getting that Blondie doll.
