Artist Milka LoLo is drawn to the characters, legends, myths, and elements in Mexican folklore. In her work she expresses a deep reverence for the tales woven into the Mexican experience, while simultaneously breathing new life into them.
For her upcoming 5th solo show for Cactus Gallery, Milka explored her subject matter through different artistic approaches, ceramics and paper mache, adding her own personality and vision to these ancient forms.
Milka's mask installation is beautiful and colorful, honoring the enduring power of ancient traditions and furthering our understanding of art, culture, and the life-death continuum.
