About the piece: Sometimes we get lost and must find a place or time within ourselves to give us direction. As a child I lived in the garden. I talked to birds believing I spoke their language and I planted marbles in the dirt knowing they would hatch as fairies. Home tastes like dirt and herbs. Home smells like flowers and cut grass. Home sounds like birds and fairies tumbling about like marbles in my pocket. Home is closing my eyes and remembering a time when I didn’t know how important a home was.
