ARTILLERY OF FORGOTTEN THOUGHTS by artist Andrea Bogdan

$ 850.00
Acrylic on wood, 20” x 24” x 1.5"

Where does a thought go when it's forgotten? Freud devoted his entire career to answering this question. Personally, I think they go right into your pockets and later get rinsed out in the wash.... which means that people without pockets tend to be more hysterical due to all those forgotten thoughts swirling around with nowhere to go and nothing to do. Have you ever noticed that army pants always have really big pockets? That's because the military can't afford to have a bunch of hysterical people running around shooting each other. In any event, my theory is represented in this painting of a soldier preparing for battle. As an aside, there are three shapes in this painting that are directly from paintings that I created in 2012, but that's a whole other pocketful of stories.
